However, for stains, we’ve some quick ways up in our minds to help remove different stains from carpets. Let’s take a look at these ways.

For Coffee Stains

Removing coffee stains from the carpet is oftentimes quite tricky. But we’ve got a simple hack. For this, you need to make a mixture of ¼ teaspoon of liquid dish soap, 1 teaspoon of white vinegar, and a cup of lukewarm water. Mix it well.

Now, blot up the stain spot as much as you can. Then blot the area again with cold water. Once you’re done blotting with cold water, take a clean cloth with the mixture you prepared and put on the stain. Don’t pour the mixture on stains; rather just dap a little bit at a time. Keep blotting until the stain disappears. Well, it might take a couple of minutes, so hold your patience! Once stains are out, lightly rinse it with cold water and again blot dry.

Quick Pro tip — You should never scrub or harshly rub your carpet. Blot drying and cleaning is the best way.

For Pet Stains

We know you’re the best hooman to your four-legged friend. Sometimes it doesn’t matter how cute they are but their poop and urine do leave behind smell and stains. The best way you can remove pet stains is by using carpet cleaner with enzymes. These particular cleansing products work great for odor-causing germs. All you need to do is spray the cleansing enzymes on the stained area. Then slowly blot it with a damp cloth. Next, you can rinse with a clean wet cloth and cover it up with the same for up to 12 hours. Try this method out for pet stains and urine smell. Our favorite is Bissell Professional Pet Stain and Odor removing formula. It works great for muddy spots and urine odor.

For Red Wine and other Stains

No matter how careful you’re with red wine, sometimes it does spill over and you’re left behind with an impossible stain. Especially, if it’s your carpet, your work just gets doubled. However, we’ve got a quick solution. First, you need to blot the spilled wine as much as you can. Then saturate the stain spot with Wine Away, a quick wine stain remover. Allow it to sit for 5 minutes and then blot it until the stain fades out. Remove extra residues using a damp cloth. An easy and super quick way for tough wine stains.

For other types of stains like food or beverages, we suggest you a cleansing mixture of one part water and one part white vinegar. Well, for tougher stains, you can use 1 tablespoon of ammonia with 1 cup of water. However, do check with the fabric of the carpet. Ammonia doesn’t work well for wool-based carpets.

Quick Pro-tip- Never use bleach-based cleaning solvent on any fabric. Check with the manufacturer when buying.

Cleaning carpet can actually turn into an easy task with these tips. You don’t need to spend a hundred dollars at cleaners. Rather you can just pick good carpet cleaning solvents or else make one. And that’s how you keep carpets stain and odor-free.
